USI Internship and Career Fair
All students are encouraged to attend the Internship and Career Fair to meet employers, explore career options and apply for jobs and internships.
Students of all majors and grade levels are encouraged to attend the Internship and Career Fair. New students can use the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the format of career fairs. In the second and third years, students should plan to attend to meet with potential internship employers. Seniors can meet recruiters for full-time degree-related positions. Recruiters prefer meeting students in person. So students who attend career fairs will have greater odds of acquiring top internships or jobs.
- Students should dress professionally in slacks/skirt and a nice shirt or business suit. First impressions matter.
- Plan early to ask off work for the day and check your class schedule. Talk to your professors, many will allow an excused absence or extra credit to attend the career and internship fair.
- We strongly recommend having your resume reviewed before the fair by our career coordinators. They have appointments available all semester leading up to the fair. Don't wait until the last minute as slots will fill up quickly. Contact Career Services and Internships to schedule an appointment at 812-464-1865 or view availability and schedule on Career Launch.
