Engineering and Manufacturing Creativity Camp

The Engineering and Manufacturing Creativity Camp (EMC2) on the USI campus is a day camp for high school students made possible by the Southwest Indiana STEM Resource Center and the University of Southern Indiana Engineering Department. It will give participants a chance to learn what engineers do through a series of exciting on-campus activities and a field trip to a local manufacturer.

Topics included are:

  • Robotics
  • CAD design
  • Raspberry Pi controlled robot
  • Water jet manufacturing
  • Python programming with GPIO
  • Site visit to local manufacturer

Everything participants learn will be highlighted during presentations (open to friends and family) at the end of the week during a ceremony celebrating their completion of the camp. This is an experience you won't want to miss!

Date:  July 15-19, 2019

Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Location:  Business and Engineering Center & Applied Engineering Center, USI

For: Incoming 9-12th graders (must be entering these grades during the 2019-20 academic year)

Registration Fee: $150 - filled on a first-come, first-served basis; lunch is provided

Scholarships: Please send an email to Dave Ellert, camp director, to discuss necessary requirements for a limited number of partial/full scholarships for participants in need of financial assistance.
