Faculty Convocation

Faculty Convocation is an annual event for faculty recognition and celebration. The Distinguished Professor Award, H. Lee Cooper Core Curriculum Teaching Award, Sydney L. and Sadelle Berger Faculty Community Service Award and USI Foundation Outstanding Faculty Teaching Awards are presented at this event. Additional faculty recognition takes place, and one faculty member is featured as the keynote speaker. In 2019, Dr. M. Catherine (Katie) Ehlman, professor of gerontology and director of the Center for Healthy Aging and Wellness, will give the convocation address.

The event will begin with the academic processional at 2:45 p.m. on The Quad (weather permitting), and the ceremony will begin at 3 p.m. in Carter Hall. This event is open to the public. Faculty participating in the processional are asked to make a reservation with the Provost's Office.
