"Filth and Foulness" Interdisciplinary Colloquium Student Proposal Deadline

The 13th annual Interdisciplinary Colloquium will be a bit... dirtier this year. Our theme, Filth and Foulness, aims to examine the myriad positive and negative connotations of filth, and how humanity can both thrive and suffer from these dynamic relationships. Colloquium organizers would especially like to encourage submissions which address the gamut of filth’s symbiotic positive and negative associations.

To propose a paper, panel or creative submission (artwork, musical performance, theater performance, etc.), please send a 250-word abstract with name, contact information and departmental affiliation to usi1lacolloquium@usi.edu.

  • Faculty abstracts for the colloquium are due Monday, February 10.
  • Undergraduate poster and art proposals are due Saturday, February 29.

Find out more about our theme at USI.edu/IDC. Save the date for the colloquium, happening Thursday, April 9, 2020 in Carter Hall and the Traditions Lounge.
