Yin yoga is a meditative approach with a physical focus. As one ages flexibility in joints decreases and Yin yoga is a wonderful way to maintain that flexibility. Yin yoga postures are more passive, mainly on the floor. It is unique in that you are asked to relax in the yoga pose, find your breath as your body moves closer to releasing the aches and pains our bodies seem to hold.
